LabOrders has improved the management and reporting of projects that use effort-based metrics, such as full-time equivalents (FTEs), as their reporting method.
Along with tracking actual costs, you can now view and record effort on the Payment Requests page. Comparing logged hours with financial costs makes it easy to see how your resource allocation aligns with your budget.
A. Define unit cost
On the “Timesheet planning & privileges” page, under “Edit planning,” you can enter the unit cost assigned to each project.
Once the unit cost has been entered, the system provides a comprehensive overview of the corresponding monetary value of the planned and executed effort for that project.
B. Visualization of timesheets execution on PR table
You can now define financial information and effort metrics separately when creating a new PR or editing an existing PR.
To be able to see the "Effort (PMs)" information on the PR table, turn on the toggle (at the top of the table).
A new line will appear below the financial information, showing the Target and Submitted PMs, along with another execution progress bar that tracks the execution of the PR-associated timesheets.
B.1. Associate / disassociate timesheets with a PR
To link a timesheet to a PR, follow the steps below.
On the arrow of the PR line in the PR table, select "Timesheets".
The facebox will show all the project’s timesheets that are already in the approval workflow, with the respective status.
Select the checkboxes for the timesheets you want to associate with that PR, then click Save.
The progress bar on the Effort (PMs) line will fill to the corresponding percentage, using the defined target value as the maximum.
The option to export the “Report (SGO 2030 e)” will be available directly from the PR table. This option will still be available on the "Timesheet planning & privileges" page.
Note that you can also disassociate timesheets from the same menu by deselecting the checkbox and saving the changes.
⚠ To prevent duplicate timesheet submissions across PRs, timesheets already associated with another PR will show that PR’s name in the first column, and their checkboxes will be disabled.
