To indicate that timesheet activities will be submitted for a specific grant:
1) Go to menu Projects> Timesheet planning & privileges.
2) The Timesheets planning & privileges table lists all grants for which timesheets hours can be reported in your institution.
To add a new grant to the table, click the Add planning button on the top left.
3) In the following screen, start by selecting the grant you are working on, from the drop down menu.
⚠ Note: If you do not see your grant in this list, it is because it is currently not available in LabOrders. You can follow the instructions on how to manage grants to correct the situation.
4) Fill in the remaining information according to your grant characteristics and the institution rules.
⭐ Tip: The total duration in person-months (PMs) field is optional, but if know how many PMs are available for this project, you can enter it here (or add it later) as this will support the rest of your work.
Please ignore the Total duration (hours) field. This field is being deprecated.
⭐ Tip: You can find out more about strict mode in our What is the Timesheets strict mode? article. If you are unsure, you can leave it unchecked for now and turn it on later.
5) Click the Save button at the bottom of the form..
6) Your new Timesheet planning will show on top of the table
⭐ Tip: If at any time you need to edit the settings shown above, you can click the LabOrders arrow on the right of the line and select the Edit planning option.
